Slavica Nikolic

Slavica Nikolic is a professional architect with a wide range of interests and work experiences. She started her career in the United States 22 years ago at Ronnette Riley Architect working in a variety of roles and projects. Slavica joined the New York City School Construction Authority in 2010, which granted her multiple new construction and capital improvement projects in which she conducted a variety of field inspections and provided code analysis and review. After leaving the SCA, Slavica opened her own firm called Urban Bond Creative where she led a complex midtown landmark retrofit of St. Sava Parish House, among other renovation projects.
Slavica rejoined Ronnette Riley Architect as a Project Architect in 2018 and was promoted to Associate the next year. She brings her rich professional experience and technical skills to her projects. She has been engaged in upgrades to 32 buildings at Breukelen Houses for NYC Housing Authority’s Energy and Sustainability Program retrofits. An expert on accessible design, she provided interior modernizations and accessibility design for the NY Academy of Medicine, the modernization of 32 restrooms in 11 academic buildings on the SUNY Purchase College campus and, most recently, the modernization of 35+ restrooms in the Davenport Ridge Elementary School for the City of Stamford, CT. She is also designing several private residences.
As a certified NYS Energy Code Compliance Plans Examiner, her dedication to social and environmental responsibility is showcased throughout her work.
Slavica received her Bachelor of Architecture from Belgrade University and a Master of Architecture from Ball State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Society of Registered Architects Serbia and Serbian Chamber of Engineers. She is also a licensed Feng Shui consultant.
