Apple transformed a former post office in Soho to create its first urban retail flagship. Collaborating with Steve Jobs and BCJ, Ronnette Riley Architect was part of the team designing prototypes for subsequent Apple stores around the world. The 18,000sf interior features a patented glass staircase, a 70’ long skylight and an indoor bridge – bringing the public into a luminous space, echoing the iconic design sensibility of Apple products. The project was recognized for Design Excellence by the AIA and Business Week.
