RRA was hired by Starwood Capital to rethink and develop a welcoming location identity for a hotel on the semi-industrial Queen’s Quay in Toronto Harbour. The existing arrival was dominated by a monolithic pre-cast parking structure at the podium of a block-wide hotel complex. RRA proposed alternate concepts with exterior cladding and lighting to add visual interest and rhythm and proposed new planters, sidewalk, staircase, signage and site lighting to more intimately engage pedestrians.
