RRA was engaged by The LiRo Group to remodel 21 courtrooms and 21 Judges Chambers in The Richard J. Daronco Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains, NY. RRA’s responsibility was the interior design of 25,800sf and $20M of the 280,000sf rehabilitation. Working within a tight construction schedule, our goal was to salvage and restore as much of the courtroom layouts and finishes with its 1970s sensibility but to thoughtfully integrate new sustainable materials and seamlessly afford accessibility along with full mechanical, electrical, telecom, fire alarm and security upgrades.
